Break Sound
« Topic Start: April 29, 2009, 01:04:28 AM »

When a break starts, two sounds run: End of Round and then Break.  I'd prefer to have it sound only Break.

I disagree on this one. It makes sense to play the end of round sound there.

It may make logical sense, but not so much in practical terms.  When you are sitting at the table playing, often the sounds are your main cue for what is to take place.  When a break starts, the program first plays the End of Round sound - which takes a moment or two - and then the Break sound.  So, you first get the aural cue that it's time to advance to the next round, and only after the cue that now you are on break.  I still think it's better to just play the one Break sound, which acts as a cue both that the current round is over and now is a break.
