Wish List
« Topic Start: April 29, 2009, 01:20:09 AM »

A few items on my wish list for the program:

The real time clock that displays below Next Blinds shows even before the Start button is pushed.

A display on the timer of real time passed since the start of the tournament.  This would count up as real time passed without pause until tournament end.

A checkbox option to automatically pause the tournament clock at the end of every level.

A checkbox option to automatically pause the tournament when it is time to do a chip up.

Another one:

Option to turn off the tourneylogs creation for 1, 2 or all 3 of the league management web sites.  If I don't use them, they just accumulate and take up space.

And/or a routine in STM to clear these history files.

And another one:

A save/load of final tournament results.  This would be a complete save of all data fields after the end of a tournament, including: Blinds Structure, Tournament Setup, Paytable, Players List (with buy-ins, seating, bust outs, bounties, etc.), clock values and tournament income report.  Essentially a snap shot history of everything at the end of the tournament that I can save and then load up later to view.

Done. Build 5.

Will do, but only if I can make it look good, without cluttering up the timer screen. I'm a little hesitant.

Sorry, I don't plan to do this. I create files for each of the 3 sites so the user doesn't need to specify which site (if any) he/she wants to use. And who knows, the user could change his/her mind later on. Since the program doesn't store results in any location other than these files, the user would not be able to re-create these files at a later date. The files are tiny, so taking up space isn't a real concern. A routine to clear them out would be an option, but I don't want to encourage users to do so. Again, due to the fact that this is the only place that past results are stored.

You can probably fit one in in smaller type the looks decent in the upper left corner, above the chip colors.  Or might look better to put the real time clock up there (smaller), and this one in its place.

Oh...one more checkbox option I thought of that would be useful: automatic pause at the end of all breaks.

I'll probably build a little spreadsheet file that could be used as a viewer and simple report writer for the histories that are already stored in the XML tourneylog files. I don't really want to go beyond that. That's what the league management websites are for.

That would do quite well!
