SimpleTourneyManager poker tournament management software is
MSExcel-based, so Excel is required to run this software. Version 1.61 also requires the "Analysis Toolpak" and "Analysis Toolpak - VBA" Excel add-ins. These are included with Excel, but may need activation (use the Tools - Add-Ins menu). You may need the Office / Excel installation disks to do this. Version 2.0, which will be released soon, will not require these add-ins.
EDIT (6/23/07): There was an issue with the previous version (1.6). If your lowest chip value was something other than 1, it would not display the correct blinds. Version 1.61 below corrects this issue. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. The free version of SimpleTourneyManager version 1.61 is fully functional, with the following exception:
The blinds schedule will always revert back to "Automatic" when leaving the Setup screen. This restriction is intended to allow users to explore the functionality of the software, and to allow users to use the software for real tournaments before purchasing. The "Automatic" blinds schedule is a gradually increasing structure that results in predominantly skill-based poker tournaments, as long as the levels are of sufficient duration.
