using extended monitor
« Topic Start: May 29, 2009, 07:36:06 PM »

Tonight I am using STM in an extended monitor setup.  I have STM running on my laptop.  I also have an external monitor attached, set to display as an extended desktop.  I have moved STM to the right side so it displays on my external monitor and everything else I have running is on the side which shows on my laptop monitor.  This works fine.

Several of the pop-up windows (players, bustout, buyin, etc.) from the Timer tab in STM do not remember their last position.  The only one I found that remembers its last position is the Seating window.  This means that everytime I use one of these pop-up windows, I have to shift over to the right side of my desktop so I can view it on the external monitor along with STM.  It would be much better if these popup windows could remember their last position.  I haven't checked any popups from any of the other tabs, but the same suggestion would apply.

Alternatively, perhaps there is one global setting which will make all popup windows position themselves relative to the STM program window.  I think currently they default to a position relative to the position of the underlying Excel window location.

In build #6, most of the popups will remember their last positions. They will all default to a certain location, but if you drag them to another location, they'll go back there the next time you open them. When you close STM, the new locations will be forgotten, though, to ensure that they don't get lost (positioned off screen).

Thanks!  Note:  in case you missed it, thought I would mention that some of the pop-up windows (like buy-in, bust out, etc.) also have a confirm window that has to be repositioned and should remember the last position or better yet pop-up to the same position as the original pop-up window.

Looking forward to the release of Build #6!

Yep. Got it. The confirm window remembers as well. Since it's the same confirm box that's used over and over, you only have to reposition it once.
