SimpleTourneyManager poker tournament management software - Version 2.0 will be released soon.

All full-version user's will be upgraded to the new version upon it's release, free of charge.

Below are some of the new features being implemented in Version 2.0:

• Arnold Snyder's Poker Tournament Formula built-in (provides Skill Level for any tournament)
  
  
• Player / table tracking, with automatic table balancing and breakdowns. This is totally OPTIONAL. The program will function as it did before for those who don't want to make an entry every time someone busts out, rebuys or adds-on. But for those who DO want to do this, the system will be very simple, but effective. The Timer screen will show the top 15 finishers (green highlighting shows the positions that get paid).
  
  
• Improved look and feel (looks less like Excel).
  
  
• Improved "Automatic" blinds structure.
  
  
• Improved "Automatic" payout structure.
  
  
• Improved payout rounding.
  
  
• User's existing toolbars, menus, etc... are automatically replaced with a custom menubar, but restored when the program is closed.
  
  
• Timer screen's chip display area is reduced to make room for other information. The 5 lowest denomination chips in play will be displayed (any chips that should not be in play due to color-up will not be shown).
  
  
• Added "Total Chips in Play" and "Total Number of Players" display to the Timer screen for those NOT using the Player / Table tracking feature. For those who ARE using it, these fields will display "Average Chips per Player" and "Number of Players Remaining".

Lots of changes since this time last year. The version I'm currently developing should probably be numbered 3.0 instead of 2.0 due to the amount of changes. Here's a screenshot of the timer screen as it stands right now:



You'll be able to select from several backgrounds or use your own jpeg or gif file.

You'll be able to double click on any of the elements on the timer screen, such as any of the titles or values, to change the color to anything you want.

Chip colors are also 100% editable and you can select white or black text for each chip color.

Here's a screenshot of the main setup page. It still needs to be cleaned up a bit, but as you can see, you no longer go into an Excel spreadsheet to enter/view data. It's all on forms, which makes for a better, more professional user interface.



Other major improvements include full player / table management and integration between the program and the website for posting tournament announcements (see http://simpletourneymanager.com/index.php?topic=42 for a sample).

Integration with poker league management websites is being developed and will be functional with the release of version 2.0. You'll be able to upload the results of completed tournaments to any of the following websites:

StatsGenie (Home Series of Poker)
HomePokerTour

I'm also working on the ability to quickly and easily post tournament announcements to some of these sites.
